The Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad kicked off the food drive earlier this week at the Rednerโs Warehouse Market on East Lincoln Highway in Middletown Township.
Squad members are focusing their collection efforts on items that are easy for children to prepare or that help families stretch their summer budgets. Requested donations include canned goods, breakfast items, pasta, rice, juice boxes, healthy snacks, peanut butter, shelf-stable milk, and easy-to-prepare meals.
Donation boxes have been set up at three permanent drop-off sites at the Rednerโs Warehouse Market on East Lincoln Highway, the Giant Food Store on New Falls Road, and at the Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad station at 616 East Lincoln Highway.

The squad has scheduled its next collection event for June 27 at the Giant Food Store on New Falls Road to gather donations from shoppers.
All collected items will be distributed to local food pantries to restock their shelves.
