The multi-day sweep ended early last Friday morning and led to 37 wanted people being arrest. A statement said most arrested were wanted for violent crimes and gun offenses.
In addition to the arrests, a double-barreled shotgun, AR-15, and multiple handguns and drugs were seized, according to the Philadelphia Sheriff’s Office.
Bucks County Sheriff Milt Warrell said three two-man teams from his agency assisted with the sweep.

“We were happy to jump in and help,” Warrell said.
“Every gun taken off the street and every individual arrested with an outstanding warrant is a step in the right direction. We will continue to work, with the support of our partners, to capture those with outstanding warrants and make the streets safer. There is more work to do every day as we deal with this unprecedented surge in gun violence. This work does not stop here. We will play our part as law enforcement,” Philadelphia Sheriff Rochelle Bilal said in a statement.

It is not uncommon for regional sheriff’s offices to coordinate and collaborate on sweeps. In past efforts, Philadelphia Sheriff’s Office deputies have helped Bucks County authorities.
