More than a half-dozen sheriff vehicles were needed to transport wanted persons who were arrested Friday morning to the Bucks County Courthouse in Doylestown.
Members of the Southeast Regional Task Force – made up of deputy sheriffs from Bucks, Montgomery, Philadelphia, Chester and Delaware counties – kicked off their warrant sweep around 5 a.m. Friday in the rain. Wanted persons were arrested through Bucks County. Deputies were spotted conducting the warrant sweep in the Levittown area just after sunrise.

Bucks County Sheriff Edward “Duke” Donnelly announced the 36 arrests shortly after 11 a.m. in Doylestown. He told LevittownNow.com the wanted persons had warrants for a variety of reasons.
Authorities reported that 11 people turned themselves in before the warrant sweep began and 43 wanted persons remain free.
The 11 people who turned themselves in did so as a “direct result of preparation for this morning’s sweep,” according to the sheriff.

“Subjects arrested on domestic relations warrants owned a total of $243,541.68 in back support,” Donnelly said.
With deputies from multiple counties surrounding him, Donnelly said the efforts to find the remaining wanted persons will not stop.

“This is an ongoing effort,” the sheriff said. “If you are wanted, turn yourself in, or we will be knocking on your door very soon.”
Donnelly said deputies have been working on this operation, which is titled “Operation Friday the 13th,” for the past several months. He thanked the law enforcement personnel who have been doing research and also those who hit the streets during Friday’s rain storm make apprehensions.
Deputies reported no problems during their sweep and Donnelly said no one ran when the warrant squad came.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department public information assistant Teresa Harris said members of the local departments often work together to bring in wanted persons.
Officials said some of the people captured Friday were wanted on warrants out of different counties.

Persons who know the location of any wanted subject who was not apprehended Friday are asked to call Bucks County authorities at 215-348-6124. Tips can remain confidential, officials said.
