Middletown Township’s animal control officer was lauded by the police department for rescuing eight ducklings and finding a missing teenager.
Animal Control Officer Cheyenne Keen, intern Bobby, and Officer Missy Robison went into the storm water system at the Villas of Shady Brook in the Langhorne section of Middletown Township Thursday to help rescue eight ducklings that fell through the grates and into the pipes.

“Mama duck quickly reunited with her babies once we placed them back near the water,” police said.
It’s not uncommon for ducklings to accidentally wander into storm water systems or fall through grates into them when they’re young.
Police said Keen was headed to get ice cream after the rescue when she spotted a missing teenager. The teen boy had been reported missing out of Philadelphia two weeks ago.

The teen was reunited with his “worried mother,” police said.
