The 14-year-old boy who was pulled from the Neshaminy Creek last Thursday afternoon is recovering.
The boy was flown to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) in Philadelphia after he ended up in the Neshaminy Creek in the area Hulmeville Falls near the Hulmeville Borough and Middletown Township border. The incident happened on county-owned park property.

Bucks County Rangers Chief Steve Mawhinney said the boy suffered a medical episode and passed out, falling into the creek. He was pulled from the water and emergency responders transported him for care.
A Facebook post on the Neshaminy Share community group late last week from the boy’s grandmother said those who were with him jumped into action to drag the boy from the creek and contacted 9-1-1.
She wrote doctors told the family the boy passed out from depleted salt levels, which was the result of growing quickly.
