At the home of Mrs. Sadie Stackhouse, they took a pair of eye glasses belonging to Lawrence Stackhouse. From evidence left behind, they had used candles, as the carpets and rugs were soiled where wax had dropped. They also had entered one of the sleeping rooms on the second floor without disturbing the the occupants.
A small amount of money was secured at Clarence Tomlinson’s, also a coat, cap, and what money was in Mrs. Thomlinson’s purse. A watch was taken from Mr. Tomlinson’s vest pocket but was left on the table, evidently not wanted. Matches were used to furnish light. A baby’s cry most likely caused them to move on.
They secured a sum on money at S. Hulme Harrison’s.
