Construction on the new Wawa with gas pumps along Levittown Parkway is underway.

Last month, large pieces of construction equipment began demolition of the former auto body and ice cream shop at the corner of the Levittown Town Center access road that links to Kenwood Drive and Levittown Parkway.

Interim Tullytown Borough Coordinator Dan Pasciullo said at last month’s council meeting that the paperwork for the project to began had been completed.

In 2018, council approved Wawa’s plan to build a 4,700-square-foot Wawa with six gas pumps and 12 fueling positions at the corner that once was home to Hesski Service Center and McGinty’s Ice Cream Creations.

Hesski’s moved in fall to a new location at the corner of New Falls and Penn Valley roads in Falls Township’s Levittown section, while McGinty’s closed for good.
