A number of Levittown-area fire companies and emergency medical squads will receive thousands of dollars from the state through the COVID-19 Crisis Fire, Rescue and EMS grant program.
Below are a list of organizations receiving grant funds:

- Falls Township Fire Co. (Falls Township) – $25,342
- Langhorne-Middletown Fire Co. (Middletown Township) – $25,342
- Levittown Fire Co. No. 1 (Falls Township) – $24,247
- Levittown Fire Co. 2 (Bristol Township) – $25,342
- Parkland Fire Co. (Middletown Township) – $24,384
- Penndel Fire Co. (Middletown Township) – $25,205
- Newportville Fire Co. (Bristol Township) – $24,110
- Third District Fire Co. (Bristol Township) – $25,205
- Tullytown Fire Co. (Tullytown Borough) – $23,425
- William Penn Fire Co. (Middletown Township) – $25,342
- Bucks County Rescue Squad – $15,048
- Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad – $15,048

The emergency service organizations can use the funds for operational and equipment expenses initiated on or after March 6 and completed before December 31.
In a statement, the state noted that $44 million in grants across the commonwealth will go toward fire companies and $6 million to rescue squads.
The money comes through the state’s allotment of federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act relief.

Falls Township Democratic State Rep. John Galloway said: โOur firepersons and EMS workers are always out there protecting our safety and thatโs never been more true than during this deadly pandemic. Iโm very glad they will receive funds needed to enable them to continue to perform their lifesaving duties.โ
