UPDATE: No Missing Persons Reported As Search Of Lake Luxembourg Ends
Crews spent Friday evening searching one of the area’s largest lakes after two empty boats were found.
Bucks County Rangers called firefighters around 5 p.m. to Lake Luxembourg in Core Creek Park in Middletown Township after an empty row boat was pulled to shore by another boater who reported finding no one with the boat.

Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company Chief Frank Farry said there was concern that someone may have fallen out of the boat and into the water. Firefighters from the Langhorne-Middletown, Northampton, and Yardley-Makefield fire companies put their boats in the lake and performed a grid search.
As of late evening, a second empty boat was found but no people or bodies were located, Farry said.
There had not been any calls of missing people as of late evening or any reports that someone fell in the water, Farry stated.

Due to the nice weather, Core Creek Park was busy Friday.
It was unclear who owned the boats and Farry said they could have been used by kids and abandoned.

Middletown Township police on ATVs took to the county-owned park to see if anyone had put their boat to shore in the woods and it drifted back onto the water.
Farry said the fire company was awaiting more information from rangers or police to see if anyone was missing.
