The search at Lake Luxembourg in Core Creek Park did not resume Saturday after county law enforcement had not receive any reports of missing people or boaters in distress.
The Bucks County Rangers determined the two rowing boats found empty in the lake in Middletown Township on Friday were owned by the county and stored on the shore by the boathouse. Someone or a group may have used the boats without permission or put them in the water and they drifted.

“There was no indication of anyone in the water or that had fallen overboard. And as of [Saturday] morning, there has been no one reported missing in that area,” county spokesperson Larry King said.
On Friday evening, Bucks County Rangers called firefighters after one of the empty boats were towed to shore by another boater. The Langhorne-Middletown, Northampton, and Yardley-Makefield fire companies were involved in the search of the lake.
Rangers and Middletown Township police checked the shoreline while fire crews performed a grid search of the lake by boat on Friday evening.
