Driver Of Car Flees After Crash That Killed 23-Year-Old Woman

A 23-year-old woman has died after a crash on Veterans Highway (Route 413) in Levittown.

Tessa Davidson, a resident of Levittown, died Thursday morning from injuries sustained in the two-vehicle crash that happened around 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday along Veterans Highway between Durham Road and Plumbridge Drive, Bristol Township police said. The crash involved a 2016 Chrysler 300, which was driven by a 55-year-old Levittown man, and a black 2015 Honda Accord, which Davidson was a passenger in. Davidson, who owned the Honda that she was a passenger in, was “severely injured” and had to transported to St. Mary Medical Center in Middletown. She succumbed to her injuries on Thursday, police said. 

A female passenger in the rear seat of the Honda – Peyton Murray, 23, of Trevose – fled the scene on foot and was later arrested, police said. They added that she had an outstanding Bucks County warrant and was treated for a head injury before being taken to the Bucks County Correctional Facility.

The driver of the Honda ran away from the nasty crash and was last seen heading down Veterans Highway, police said.

The Honda driver was described as a light-skinned black man who was about 6-feet-tall with dreadlocks dyed blond. He was wearing blue jeans and a gray shirt, police said.

The 55-year-old Chrysler driver was taken by ambulance to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The crash closed Veterans Highway into Wednesday night.

The Bristol and Newportville fire companies responded along with township fire police and the Bucks County Rescue Squad.
