The controversial Stone Meadows Farm development will come before Middletown Planning Commission on Wednesday evening.
Developer Metropolitan Development Group will present updated plans to construct 121 new homes on the 168-acre Stone Meadows Farm, the largest privately-owned agricultural property in the township. The meeting will take place at 7 p.m. at the Middletown Municipal Center at 3 Municipal Way in the township’s Langhorne section.

Neighbors and the Save Stone Meadows Farm group have rallied against the plan for years as various iterations have been presented.
The latest plans reviewed by LevittownNow.com show 86 homes planned for the portion of the property off Newtown-Langhorne Road with 35 residences in a separate section of the land along Fulling Mill Road. The new proposal drops from 88 to 86 homes planned off Newtown-Langhorne Road.
Similar to previous plans, the developer is looking to keep about 50 acres of open space, including a floodplain, and 9.45 acres carved out to maintain the existing Stone family homestead and farm buildings. A walking trail and active recreation area are proposed. The lots for each residence range in size from 24,000 square feet to 30,000 square feet.

The plans would connect the 86-home section to Summit Trace through a new connector road and two intersections with Newtown-Langhorne Road. One of the Newtown-Langhorne Road intersections would feature a traffic light. The smaller 35-home section would connect to Fulling Mill Road without traffic signals.
Earlier this year, the planners voted down a previous proposal for the site.

The Stone Meadows Farm property is under an agreement of sale with Metropolitan Development Group. According to sources, the estimated purchase price for the property is between $8 and $16 million.
The property is presently owned by the relatives of famed actors Ezra Stone and Sara Seegar, who dominated stage and screen in their careers during the last century.
