A staff member arrived at Carl Sandburg Middle School in Middletown’s Levittown section Monday to find anti-police and anti-Semitic messages spray painted on the outside walls.
The messages included “KKK”, “F**k the law,” and a drawing of a backwards swastika.

“We’re investigating but don’t have much at this time,” Middletown Chief of Police Joseph Bartorilla told LevittownNow.com.
Neshaminy School District spokesperson Chris Stanley said the graffiti was found early Monday by the staff member and quickly removed by the district.
“We were shocked, disgusted and disappointed upon discovering the anti-Semitic, anti-law enforcement graffiti at Sandburg on Monday morning. The Neshaminy School district community is no place for hate, bigotry, and intolerance. All of our staff members, students and their families deserve to feel safe valued and respected in their schools,” Neshaminy Federation of Teachers (NFT) President Tara Huber said in a statement.

“Despite this hate crime, there must be difficult conversations and positive actions to promote acceptance and inclusion in our schools and community. This is a teachable moment for our community and an opportunity to grow; these hate-filled messages do not reflect the majority of our wonderful school community. Such actions will not be tolerated, and the NFT condemns these acts of hatred and intolerance,” she added.
In 2017, the community was shocked after messages of hate were posted at Herbert Hoover Elementary School and a nearby family’s vehicle in Middletown. The incidents were not solved, but members of the community rallied together to oppose the graffiti at the time.
