A Bristol Township man has been accused of indecently assaulting a juvenile girl.
Bristol Township police noted in court papers filed earlier this month that the girl came to them in late April and reported the allegedly indecent assault.

In an early May interview, the girl told police a man – identified as Rufus Williams – talked to the girl in a parking lot near the Bristol Gardens Apartments in the 1400 block of Veterans Highway on March 15. He reportedly invited the girl back to his apartment to visit his daughter, a friend of the girl’s.
Later that day, the girl went to Williams apartment and he opened the door, summoning her to come in. The girl did not see Williams’ daughter inside while he continued to invite the girl inside as she asked if her friend was home, the girl told police.
Williams then allegedly grabbed the girl by her wrists and she broke free, sensing something was wrong.

The girl said Williams grabbed her breasts while “unintelligibly mumbling” before she told him she had to leave, according to court papers.
Williams was interviewed by a detective. He reportedly said he did invite the girl and he was home alone.

“Williams told your affiant that he would never do anything like that,” the detective wrote in court paper, adding Williams noted the girl was young.
The detective further wrote that Williams mentioned he “would never do anything like that” despite him making “no mention or inference whatsoever as to the nature of this complaint prior to the defendant’s statement.”
Williams was arraigned earlier this month before District Judge Frank Peranteau on charges of unlawful contact with a minor and indecent assault. He was released on unsecured bail.
