‘Real Life Boogeyman’ Child Pornographer & Rapist To Spend Rest Of Life In Prison

William “Willie” Thomas will be 119 years old by the time he is eligible for parole. And by then, he will likely be dead.

Thomas, 59, was sentenced to 60 to 120 years in state prison by Bucks County Judge Wallace Bateman. Shortly before, he pleaded no contest and guilty to a litany of charges. 

According to authorities, Thomas admitted to his crimes that included sexual molestation and creating and obtaining thousands of items related to child sexual abuse. He had hundreds of images of naked kids, writings of sexual assaults on children, plush toys with aftermarket genitals, more than 800 pieces of kids’ underwear, some pieces soiled, and other items that were recovered during a days-long search of Thomas’ trailer in the  Midway Village mobile home community on Bristol Pike in Falls Township.

In total, six victims who were raped by Thomas have been identified by investigators and another known victim was depicted in child pornography, but was not assaulted or raped. A man came forward to authorities and said Thomas compelled him to perform sex acts on him when he was 8 to 11 years old in the 1970s. However, the incident fell outside the statute of limitations, prosecutors said.

At the time of his arrest earlier this year, police and prosecutors said he was one of the most prolific serial child molesters and pornographers in known Bucks County history.

Thomas’ years-long track record of abuse led to his arrest this year after a piece of plywood with sexually explicit writing describing the physical likeness and molestation of two young girls was found in the mobile home community where he lived. The plywood was being used as part of renovations and uncovered when the owner removed it.

Deputy District Attorney Jennifer Schorn told LevittownNow.com that Thomas admitted to his actions. In court papers, detectives indicated Thomas told them he has been attracted to children since adolescence.  

The victims – aside from one who was present in court and those young enough to need assistance from adults – submitted victim impact statements to the court.

“The victims were all remarkable,” Schorn said of their assistance with the investigation.

Through the investigation, it was determined Thomas had an interest in prepubescent children. The youngest known victim was 3, but there was an image found of a child who appeared even younger.

According to Schorn, Thomas did not use the dark web and other internet portals to obtain child pornography. Many of the pieces were created by Thomas, including the collection of girl’s underwear. The prosecutor added that many of the underwear collected in Thomas’ mobile home featured names and obscene language. There is also no evidence to suggest he had help from any other pedophile.

Falls police and detectives from the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office recovered more than 5,000 pieces of physical evidence from Thomas’ mobile home, Schorn said.

The victims and the parents of the youngest ones in the case had to stomach pouring over thousands of pieces of evidence to find ones that they were connected too as part of the investigation. They received assistance from non-profit Bucks County Network of Victim Assistance (NOVA.)

Investigators and prosecutors believe there are more victims of Thomas’ abuse. Schorn said investigations into new tips could lead to additional legal proceedings against Thomas.  

“I hope that anyone else that was affected by this man please step up, and you will be heard. Everyone deserves justice for this horrific incident,”  one of Thomas’ victims said earlier this year.

Thomas moved to the Bristol Pike mobile home community where he last lived about 10 years ago after residing at the Pennsbury Woods Apartments on New Falls Road and he previously spent decades living inside his childhood home on Pleasant Lane in Levittown.

Authorities said earlier this year that they found a homemade “child-sized sex doll” and a graphic handwritten note about performing sex acts on young girls in Thomas’ childhood home on Pleasant Lane. They were alerted to the finds during a 2010 renovation. Polaroids of naked kids and of Thomas were later found in the home.

Schorn said Thomas lived a “pretty simple lifestyle” and mainly stayed in Lower Bucks County. In most cases, he took advantage of victims whose families were in bad situations.

Schorn noted the work on the large investigation by police officials, including by detectives Clark and Gorman.
