Arrest paperwork filed last week sheds more light on the man taken into custody in the moments leading up to an hours-long standoff in Bristol Borough.
Last Thursday shortly after 1 p.m., Bristol Borough officers were on duty on Pond Street when they stopped a maroon Trail Blazer and made contact with its sole occupant, identified as 35-year-old Jared Aichele of Bristol Borough.

Authorities said last week that they were watching the home at 491 Pond Street, where Aichele came out of, following a tip from a LevittownNow.com reader that stated fugitive Nicholas Napoli, 32, was inside.
According to court documents, officers discovered an empty gun holster and asked Aichele if he had a gun. During a pat down, officers uncovered a loaded Llama .32 semi-automatic tucked under Aichele’s left armpit with the barrel facing outwards.
Aichele told officers he did not want to go to jail as the officer grabbed the top of the gun and attempted to place Aichele in handcuffs. Aichele then broke free from the officer’s grasp and ran. A foot pursuit ensued and Aichele was hit with a Taser before being taken into custody, police said.

In addition to the Llama firearm, the officer uncovered a Glock 22 .40 handgun with an obliterated serial number under the driver’s seat of Aichele’s vehicle, police said.
Upon further investigation, it was discovered that Aichele was convicted in 2000 for robbery and aggravated assault, and again in 2008 for burglary, making it illegal for him to possess a firearm or obtain a license to carry.

Aichele was out on bail at the time of his arrest and was pending trial for two cases involving charges of felony possession with intent to deliver and felony theft. In one case, he is accused of having a role in a large theft from the Acme in Bristol Township.
Aichele was charged with two counts of prohibited possession of a firearm, two counts of carrying a firearm without a license, possessing a firearm with an altered manufacturer number, and resisting arrest. He was arraigned and remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10 percent of $350,000 bail.
