The contract was awarded earlier this week the Long Fence Company Inc, a Montgomery County-based company which focuses on commercial fencing. The replacement, which will cost taxpayers $23,585, will replace 20 linear feet on Big Oak Road, 40 linear feet on South Flowers Mill Road, and about 830 linear feet on West Highland Avenue.

Director of Building & Zoning Pat Duffy noted that the current guide rails are in need of “big time replacement,” noting many have been hit by vehicles and are in bad shape.
