Feds Charge Bristol Man With Intent To Distribute Heroin & Firearm

A Bristol Borough man has been charged by indictment with crimes that could send him to prison for life.

Dwayne J. Lynch, 28, was indicted last week by the U.S. Attorney’s Office of Philadelphia with  possession with the intent to distribute heroin, possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, and for being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.

Acting U.S. Attorney Louis D. Lappen said Lynch was found on March 21, 2016 in Bristol with heroin and a Remington model 870 Wingmaster sawed-off shotgun with a 13-inch barrel cut from the original length of 18 inches. The shotgun was reportedly loaded with four live rounds and one spent shell casing.

“If convicted of all counts, Lynch faces a maximum sentence of life imprisonment, with a mandatory 10-year minimum sentence consecutive to any other sentence imposed, a $1,500,000 fine, a mandatory-minimum three years up to lifetime supervised release, and a $300 special assessment,” Lappen’s office said.

The FBI worked with the Bristol Borough Police Department on the case.
