Rumors of a threat against students at Harry. S. Truman High School in Bristol Township have been deemed unfounded, officials said.
Township police and school district officials said Thursday evening that safety is always a concern and they have investigated the alleged threat.

School district police contacted township authorities Monday afternoon after they were informed a student reportedly made a threat. Upon consultation with school officials, the student and police, the threat was deemed unfounded.
The student told investigators the comment was blown out of proportion, police said.
Principal Lyndell Davis said in a note to parents that the rumors about the threat have “continued with the same theme as reported on Monday. The safety and welfare of students and staff are our highest priority. If at any point we felt that their safety were in jeopardy, we would take the appropriate precautions.”

The most common iteration of the rumors involve a shooting happened during either fourth of seventh period.
