Authorities said the incident happened shortly before 5 p.m. along Indian Red Road in Bristol Township’s Levittown section.

An SUV driven by a Bristol Township woman reversed from her driveway into the living room of her neighbor’s home across the street. In response, the woman drove the SUV forward and straight into her own home’s living room, not far from where her two adult children were, police said.

The neighbor’s home was unoccupied at the time of the crash, but Yardley resident Scott Davne pulled up just moments after to find the woman still in her vehicle.

The driver, he told LevittownNow.com, appeared to be intoxicated and was “yelling about her dogs.”

The woman was taken to the hospital but suffered no injuries, police said.

According to police, DUI was being looked at as a possible cause for the crash that damaged the two homes.

The driver’s husband said he was shocked and glad everyone was unhurt.

Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito said the driver’s house was condemned because a load-bearing wall was unstable. The other home needed to have the hole in the living room seal but is livable.
