Motorcyclist Seriously Hurt In 413 Collision

A serious motorcycle crash that happened Thursday evening is under investigation.

It was around 6 p.m. Thursday when a motorcycle and a small SUV collided in the 500 block of Veterans Highway (Route 413) in Bristol Township, police said.

A maroon 1989 Yamaha motorcycle that was traveling southbound on 413 collided with a 2005 blue Ford Escape that was traveling northbound. The crash happened when the small SUV turned left to get to a business, police said.

The motorcycle was driven by a 51-year-old man from Philadelphia. He was taken to Aria Health’s Torresdale campus with life-threatening injuries, police said.

The 34-year-old Croydon woman driving the SUV was taken to Lower Bucks Hospital with minor injuries and was released after treatment, police said.

The Croydon woman is cooperating with investigators, police said.

Southbound traffic was limited to one lane by Bristol Township Fire Police until about 8 p.m.
