Army National Guard veteran Nick Radyshewsky was surprised by the police, fire department and motorcycle detail that pulled up to his Levittown home.
The Mug ‘N Hug was put together by the members of Tullytown Fire Company, Warriors’ Watch and the Delaware Valley Vietnam Veterans. The special event honored Radyshewsky for his military service.

Radyshewsky served for 33 years in the Army National Guard, according to Rick Johnson of the Tullytown Fire Company.
“I was shocked. It’s amazing what they did for me,” Radyshewsky said after greeting all of the riders with hugs and handshakes.
Dave Pearl, a past fire chief, and Joe Shellenberger, a Tullytown Council member, were riders who were expecting to surprise Radyshewsky, but they were in for a surprise themselves when they were honored alongside Radyshewsky. Shellenberger and Pearl both retired from the United States Air Force after more than 20 years of service.

The participants met in the Levittown Home Depot parking lot before the surprise. The riders then took the short, five-minute ride to Radyshewsky’s home with a fire and police escort.
