One Person Hurt In Route 13 Crash

Volunteer firefighters had to cut the door off a vehicle to free a woman involved in a Route 13 crash Tuesday.

The crash happened on southbound Route 13 just past the Penn Valley Road on-ramp in Falls Township around 4:30 p.m.

Levittown Fire Co. No. 1 Chief Rich VanSchaick told LevittownNow.com that the woman was entrapped after a two-vehicle crash and was freed by firefighters from Falls, Fairless Hills, Levittown No. 1 and Tullytown fire companies.

The woman was taken from the scene by the Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squad for treatment. The extent of her injuries were not immediately released.

The crash was under investigation by Falls police.

The crash caused southbound Route 13 to be closed between Tyburn and Mill Creek roads. Long lines of traffic slowed the evening commute on nearby streets.
