Falls Township and Bensalem officers worked together on a narcotics investigation that led to the recent arrest of two Philadelphia men.
After two months communicating with a confidential informant, officers arranged separate narcotics buys in the 2300 block of Street Road in Bensalem on Monday, June 27 and Thursday, June 30,ย with a suspected area drug dealer – Levi Almonte, 25.

The buys were arranged and Levi was observed delivering methamphetamine on both dates to the police informant, according to court documents. The substance reportedly tested positive both times for methamphetamine.
On Thursday, July 7, officers set up a third buy with Levi, this time once he delivered the suspected methamphetamine to the police informant, he was placed into custody and arrested.
According to a police affidavit, as a result of the investigation a search warrant was obtained for Levi’s residence in the 3300 block of Kip Street in Philadelphia. It was then that officers came in contact with Yoel Almonte, 24, along with approximately one pound of methamphetamine and materials consistent with narcotics sales. The suspected drugs obtained from the home all tested positive. Police also found that the phone bearing the phone number on which officer’s arranged the drug buys was in Yoel’s possession.

Both men were charged with six drug related felonies and two misdemeanors.ย During a preliminary hearing on Tuesday, August 23, all charges against the two men were held and both remain in jail on 10 percent of $500,000 bail. Both are scheduled for a formal arraignment on September 23.
Lt. Hank Ward said more arrests could be coming as a result of the investigation.
