A public meeting has been scheduled to discuss renovations at Pennwood Middle School in the Pennsbury School District.
The meeting, which will be held Tuesday, August 23 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Fallsington Elementary School on Yardley Avenue, will be an opportunity for district residents to learn more about the two year project.

According to officials, the district has planned for internal and external improvements at the school, as well as the addition of a new student entrance and improved traffic flow. The renovations will be the school’s first since it was built in 1951.
The $44 million renovation project Lower Makefield school that serves students from throughout the district will include taking down the schoolโs unused pool and replacing it with classrooms. The plans also include moving the administration office, revamping cooling and heating suspects and bringing portions of the building up to Americans with Disabilities Act standards.
In addition to the renovations to the Pennwood building, work will be done to improve traffic patterns, sidewalks and outdoor areas as well. Officials said last month that the work is a full renovation of the property.

The upgrades school will include energy efficient lighting, high-efficiency heating and cooling systems and low-flow water fixtures.
