The Bristol Township School Board has found a new member in Gallus Obert.
The retired engineer and 20-year township resident was appointed during Monday evening’s meeting to replace the seat vacated last month when Fred Black resigned.

Bristol Township District Judge Robert Wagner swore in Obert, who was shortly after seated with the rest of the board.
Obert said he “promised to do my best for the taxpayers of Bristol Township and the education of Bristol Township.”
Obert has previously unsuccessfully run for township council and is often a familiar face at their meetings.
