Hogan received an award for $2,500, along with an additional $1,000 check for his school.

“I am very excited, and honored, to receive this recognition. I’m continuously humbled by the decision of my students to nominate me, and furthermore, their continued efforts seeking the community’s support in votes,” said Hogan.”I would like to thank Inspire Federal Credit Union and Bucks Intermediate Unit for hosting the contest and recognizing teachers in our community.”

Jim Merrill, the President and CEO at Inspire, along with Board Member Jaclyn Seitz, awarded Hogan at the meeting.

“Providing this opportunity allows our local community to recognize educators all over the county. Whether they win the award or not, they’re recognized for the positive impact they make each and every day,” said Merrill. “Michael Hogan demonstrates what it means to be an exemplary teacher, both inside and outside of the classroom. We were honored to recognize him this evening”

The two runners up of the contest were also teachers local to the Levittown area.
