A Middletown father was recently sentenced to time in state prison in connection with theย overdose death of his 2-year-old son.

Coco Wallace, 39, of Middletownโ€™s Levittown section, was sentenced to four to 10 years in state prison last week, according to Assistant District Attorneyย Matthew Weintraub. The 39 year old was found guilty during a non-jury trial earlier this year of involuntary manslaughter, reckless endangerment, endangering the welfare of a child and a drug possession.

Wallace’s sonย Sebastian was taken from hisย apartment at Foxwood Manor in Levittown to Lower Bucks Hospital on October 22, 2014, but the boy was unable to be saved by medical staff, according to court records. Police said 1200 mg of Oxycodone was found in the 2-year-oldโ€™s body.

Authoritiesย said the 2 year old ingested the large amount of pills while in the sole care of Wallace. The question previous to anย alleged jailhouse confession was whether Wallace purposefully was trying to kill his son by leaving the drugs or whether he was just careless.

“Only the defendant knows that, and heโ€™s not saying,”ย Weintraub told LevittownNow.com last week.

During the trial, it was revealed thatย Wallace was upset at Sebastianโ€™s mother for possibly cheating on him around the time of the boy’s death.

Wallace reportedly lied to police about whether he had possession of the pills. His girlfriend and young boyโ€™s mother, a resident of North Carolina, told investigators they were traveling with Wallace on I-95 when he chucked a large bag of pills out of the car.

After the trail, Wallace’sย Langhorne-based defenseย John Kerrigan Jr. said he was “pleased with the verdict.”

Wallace operated an erotic video businessย and said the โ€œempireโ€ must continue following his sonโ€™s death.

Wallaceโ€™s 9-year-old daughter also lived with him in Middletown.
