UPDATE: State Police Plan To Ticket Driver Who Caused Fire Chief To Crash
UPDATE: 7:29 p.m., Monday:
Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company Chief Frank Farry said he was released from the hospital Monday evening and appears to only have a sprained wrist.

He said he was thankful the other driver was unhurt and appreciated all the well wishes from the community.
“I guess my gymnastics career is over,” Farry joked.

Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company Chief Frank Farry suffered minor injuries in a crash Monday afternoon.
Farry, who is also state representative for the 142nd legislative district, was in his chief’s SUV responding to a crash on Route 1 northbound around 4 p.m. when he collided with a car turning from Flowers Avenue onto Pine Street (Route 413) in Langhorne Borough, Assistant Chief Joe Taylor, who is also Langhorne’s mayor, said.

Taylor said Farry suffered pain in his arm and wrist, which was to be checked on by doctors Monday evening.
The driver of the other vehicle was uninjured.

Farry’s fire department SUV was brought back to the fire station and will have to be evaluated to see if it can be repaired, the mayor told LevittownNow.com.

No life-threatening injuries were reported in the Route 1 crash Farry was responding to at the time.
Pennsylvania State Police were assigned to investigate the Langhorne crash.
