Bucks County Attractions Related To The Papal Visit
Tiles from Bucks County’s Moravian Pottery & Tile Works in Doylestown were presented to Pope Francis in anticipation of his visit to our region. The Henry Mercer-created line of tiles that honors the four gospel writers will be for sale at the Tile Works building in Doylestow or at the ย Bucks County Visitor Center in Bensalem.

Our Lady of Czestochowa in New Britain is a major destination for Catholics. The bucolic church and grounds were built in the mid-20th Century to honor the Black Madonna of Czฤstochowa at Jasna Gรณra, one of Poland’s most important religious figures. Fun fact: the heart of famed Polish musician and politician Ignacy Jan Paderewski is entombed at the shrine.

National Shrine of Saint Katharine Drexel in Bensalem is named after the nun who devoted her life to those less fortunate. The shrine has become a popular attraction with those coming to see the Pope.
