The man who invested his time, money and effort into making the Levittown area just a little more beautiful was honored Thursday night in Bristol Township.

Dale Frazier, who passed away a month ago after a battle with cancer at the early age of 58, was known throughout the area for founding the Greenbelt Overhaul Alliance of Levittown (GOAL), the nonprofit which worked to keep Levittown and it’s surrounding areas clear of trash, waterway damming, and undesirable plant species.

His daughter, Cailtyn Frazier, accepted the commendation that was named in his honor Thursday night in a tearful speech to council and the audience.

Cailtyn Frazier proudly wearing a GOAL shirt and clutching the plaque, thanked the council for their support of her father’s projects over the years, saying their love for him has made losing him just a little easier.

Throughout Frazier’s projects with GOAL, him and volunteers have planted over 2,000 native trees, cleaned 16 miles of waterways, removed 300 tons of rubbish, recycled 3,400 tires and sponsored 56 educational seminars, Bristol Township officials told LevittownNow.com back in February as they announced a day named in the man’s honor.

โ€œDale Frazier also accomplished something that many will never do in a lifetime. He left a legacyโ€“now and hopefully for many generations to come. We can look at the Levittown greenbelts and see patches of woods with native trees and wildflowers. When people pass, sometimes a tree is planted in their memory. In his passing Dale left us with a little piece of nature to remember him,โ€ Bristol Township Environmental Council member Juan Garces wrote in a letter.
