Authorities in New Jersey have activated an Amber Alert for a child believed to be kidnapped.
New Jersey State Police said they are looking for nine-month-old William Merino, a Hispanic male child. The boy is between 24 and 30 inches, 20 to 22 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen in New Brunswick, New Jersey wearing a yellow shirt and khaki pants.

The boy was reportedly taken by his father, William Merino. He is a six-foot-tall Hispanic male who weighs about 160 pounds. He has brown eyes, black hair and has two visible tattoos – a MS 13 tattoo on his left arm and a star tattoo on his neck. He was last spotted wearing a white sleeveless shirt and blue pants.
The elder William Merino was spotted on foot, but New Bunswick is only a 30 to 40 minute trip on Route 1 if the suspect was able to get a vehicle.
