According to police, shortly before 3 a.m. on Sunday morning, James conspired with two unknown people in an effort to steal a 2009 Suzuki quad from Pumpkin Hill Road within the township. As noted in court documents, James reportedly stood by his own vehicle, using his vehicle’s lights to guide two others to a wooded area in an effort to steal the quad from a hole in the fence of the victim’s backyard.
According to the victim, they do not know James and never gave him or anyone permission to remove the quad. The entire incident was observed by a neighbor.
James was later stopped by police while in possession of the quad. A search warrant for James’ vehicle was obtained and a set of bolt cutters were found inside the car. According to a probable cause affidavit, drug paraphernalia, including a bong and glassine baggies were also found inside.
