Motorcyclist Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries In Crash

A motorcyclist was fighting for his life Wednesday night after he was involved in a crash.

The wreck happened at the intersection of West Trenton Avenue and Pine Grove Road at 8:12 p.m.

Officers rushed to the scene along with firefighters and medics. Upon arrival, the male motorcyclist was found thrown on the ground with severe head trauma, police said.

An initial investigation found the motorcycle collided with a Toyota that was making a turn at the intersection.

“The operator of the motorcycle was not wearing a helmet and was thrown from the motorcycle,” Lt. Hank Ward said.

The motorcyclist was rushed to St. Mary Medical Center in Middletown and his condition was unknown as of press time. The driver of the Toyota was unhurt.

Police, firefighters and fire police had a portion of the road blocked as of 10:30 p.m. while the investigation was ongoing.
