Hundred, if not thousands, of mourners are expected Friday morning at the memorial service for longtime volunteer fireman John Doster Sr., who died last week at the age of 96.
A viewing and service for Doster will be held at the Edgely Fire Company at the base of Edgely Road in Bristol Township starting at 10 a.m. Friday. Following the 11 a.m. service, a procession of emergency vehicles will escort Doster’s body down Route 13 into Street Road in Bensalem, up Street Road into Lower Southampton, down Bustleton Pike and up to Sunset Memorial Cemetery on County Line Road.

Organizers said traffic delays can be expected along the route during the procession.
Local fire police will be directing traffic around the fire station and police will be escorting the procession to Doster’s final resting place in Lower Southampton, officials said.
