Red Cross Helps 10 People Displaced Monday Night

The American Red Cross of Southeastern Pennsylvania responded Monday evening to help 10 people displaced.

Bristol Borough Fire Chief Herb Slack told LevittownNow.com crews were dispatched to the 200 block of Buckley Street for a reported gas leak. Firefighters used meters and did not detect any levels of gas, but there was a slight odor in the rear of the house.

The gas company responded to secure the gas line.

Anthony Tornetta, a Red Cross spokesperson, said the nonprofit assisted 10 resident that were displaced with food and lodging.

No injuries were reported.
