
A Bristol Township man accused of driving intoxicated, causing a crash and fleeing police was arrested at gunpoint.
Dan Rumbaugh, 34, was charged with fleeing or attempting to elude an officer, careless driving, reckless driving and two counts of DUI.

According to court papers, a car off the roadway was reported in the area of Oaktree Drive and Openwod Lane in Levittown around 2 p.m. Sunday. The vehicle left the roadway, but the driver – identified as Rumbaugh – appeared to unresponsive.
Before officers responded, Rumbaugh awoke and drove off and into the Red Cedar section, witnesses told police.
After a short search, the car was discovered at the Wawa at the corner of New Falls and Wistar roads. A police car attempted to initiate a traffic stop while the vehicle was in the parking lot, but Rumbaugh took off, court papers say.

Police began pursuit on Wistar Road. An officer noted in court papers Rumbaugh was speeding, drove over the double-yellow line to pass cars and a pedestrian was forced to move out of the way.
Police lost sight of the vehicle as is drove through the area of Chickenfoot Road and a shopping center on Woodbourne Road, according to court papers.

Rambaugh and the vehicle were found a short time later in the area of the Five Points intersection in Middletown.
Rambaugh was taken into custody by Middletown officers at gunpoint and turned over to Bristol Township police, officials told LevittownNow.com.
Rambaugh appeared intoxicated and had slurred speech and pinpoint eyes, court papers say. He admitted to officers that he took Xanax, police said.

The 34 year old was taken to Lower Bucks Hospital to have blood drawn for testing.
Rumbaugh was sent to the Bucks County Correctional Facility after arraignment on 10 percent of $100,000. His preliminary hearing is set for April 28 before Judge Robert Wagner Jr.
