Sexual Assault At Levittown Park Under Investigation

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the sexual assault of a woman walking along the Delaware Canal State Park towpath on Saturday afternoon.

At around 2 p.m., troopers were called to the Delaware Canal Towpath near Hanes and Edgely roads in Bristol Township’s Levittown section, according to the Pennsylvania State Police Troop M Trevose Criminal Investigation Unit.

An unknown man approached the woman while she was walking on the path and sexually assaulted her, state police said.

After the incident was reported, the woman was transported to a local hospital for medical attention, state police told LevittownNow.com.

State police are leading the ongoing investigation with assistance from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, whose rangers patrol the state park property.
