The building, which was renovated last year, “sustained heavy damage” in the fire, Doyle wrote. Three other nearby structures were also damaged.

Doyle thanked volunteer firefighters for their efforts during the fire.

A GoFundMe page for donations has been set up in the wake of the fire. Donation checks can be made out to the Bucks FOP Fire Fund and can be sent to Bucks FOP Fire Fund, P.O. Box 33, Chalfond, Pa. 18914.

Brothers and Sisters,

I am saddened to report that our newly renovated lodge home sustained heavy damage from an apparent electrical fire last night. At this time it is assumed that the fire was caused by a PECO power line. Three other structures in our general area also sustained fire damage from this event. We are sincerely grateful for all of the volunteer firefighters who braved the extreme weather conditions to respond in our time of need. These firefighters did not stop even when their trucks got stuck on ice! They hand carried equipment up to the lodge all the while working vigorously to get the trucks unstuck. The fire was eventually extinguished and we are thankful that no injuries occurred. When you get a chance THANK these brave men and women of our volunteer fire departments for their service.

On behalf of the entire executive board, we will pick up the pieces and continue to move forward by restoring our lodge back to the condition it was in when we reopened back in August! I want to thank everyone for their phone calls, emails and text messages of support!

Fraternally,
President Daniel J. Doyle
