A Bensalem man is accused of driving a stolen car into a wooded area in Bristol Township.
Henry Cofield, 33, was charged Sunday with receiving stolen property, possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to use, possession of a small amount of marijuana and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He was arraigned and released on 10 percent of $5,000 bail.

Police said they responded to Marie Lowe Drive at 12:13 a.m. Sunday for reports that a silver 2005 Mercedes CLK, which was running at the time, had been stolen from a parking lot.
Around the same time, a passing motorist reported to police that a vehicle went off Lakeland Avenue and into the woods, according to court papers.
According to court documents, police responded, found the stolen car and detained Cofield at the scene.

It was noted in court papers that the owner of the Mercedes was transported to Lakeland Avenue and identified the car that was in the brush and mud as his.
According to the vehicle’s owner, he spotted Cofield in the the parking lot shortly before the car was stolen, police said.

Authorities said two small baggies containing suspected marijuana were discovered on Cofield after his arrest.
