1 Seriously Injured in Stabbing at Bar

UPDATE:Police Seeking Witnesses to Violent Altercation at Bar

One man is in “very critical condition” at St Mary’s Hospital and two others are at area hospitals with less serious injuries after they were stabbed in a fight early Saturday morning at a local bar, according to police.

Acting Bristol Township Police Chief Lt. John Godzieba said officers responded to a disturbance around 2 a.m. Saturday morning at the Stadium Bar & Grille on the 6900 block of ย New Falls Road in Levittown. Three people were found stabbed. The chief said no arrests have been made as of press time.

According to witnesses at the bar, a group of men who have been a problem at the bar in the past got into a dispute with another several other men.

“Words were exchanged, a local firefighter in the group was trying to break up the argument before it escalated any further,” said a patron of the bar. “And the next thing you know, there was blood all over the place.”

The young man appeared to be stabbed the chest, according to multiple witnesses who spoke with LevittownNow.com Saturday morning. One witness said the man was “ripping his shirt off” and screaming he had been stabbed.

A number of ย sources confirmed the man stabbed in the chest is a volunteer firefighter in Falls Township. The publication is holding back the name of the victims as of press time until it is confirmed family has been notified.

The parking spaces around the bar will littered with cups and broken glass around daybreak on Saturday.

Godzeiba said detectives are still continuing with their investigation at this time and would not elaborate on how many suspects police are searching for.
