Those who are interested in participating in the collection can bring their medications to the Bucks County Government Tent, located at the corner of Pig Lane and Farmer’s Way inside the fairgrounds, and hand them to one of the Sheriff’s Deputies on duty for proper disposal.

Residents can bring the following accepted products: prescription and over-the-counter solid medications (i.e. tablets and capsules), liquid medications, inhalers, creams, ointments, nasal sprays, and pet medications.  Products that will not be accepted include injectables, needles, and illicit substances.

Established in 2010, the Bucks County Medication Disposal Program is an initiative between numerous county agencies and outside organizations to help protect our youth and environment through the safe disposal of medications.  To date, 37,482.26 pounds (or 18.74 tons) of prescription drugs have been collected through biannual collection events and permanent drop-off locations across the county.  For additional information about the program, please visit:http://www.buckscounty.org/government/RowOfficers/DistrictAttorney/SAFEMedicationDisposal.
