SWAT, U.S. Marshals Raid Falls Apartment Complex


Bucks County, New Jersey and federal authorities stormed a residence at the Commons of Fallsington Apartments complex in Falls Township Tuesday morning and captured a man wanted for criminal homicide.

The name of the man, a self-admitted four-star gang general with a criminal history, is being withheld at the request of police. A Trenton police official said the arrest is part of an ongoing investigation that involves other dangerous suspects.

Police began their raid for the wanted man around 9 a.m. and wrapped up their operation a short time later.

Even after the raid, a series of unmarked New Jersey police cars remained parked outside J building, some offices were seen blocking a side entrance which wrapped around the opposite side with their cars.

Eyewitness accounts from residents and onlookers stated that a SWAT team was seen “storming into a building with guns drawn,” others said that helicopters were seen flying overhead as the heavily armed SWAT operators rushed into the complex.

After the raid, at about 10:30 a.m. , a tow truck arrived on the scene in an effort to tow a maroon Hyundai Santa Fe believed to be connected to the suspect. An unmarked police car proceeded to follow the tow truck.

Shortly after, a Falls police vehicle arrived on the scene, the vehicle rushed through the building parking lot and drove up onto the courtyard. A second police car was already parked on the yard.

Falls police commented that they were called to assist U.S. Marshals in an effort to serve a warrant Tuesday morning. A SWAT team was brought in and a warrant was served on an apartment inside J buildingโ€™s 400 unit .

According to police, the man was previously arrested in Falls by a SWAT team. In that case, he was also wanted on charges out of Trenton.

The suspect was taken to the Falls Twp. police station for processing and will be held on a fugitive from justice charge until he can extradited to New Jersey.
