Youth Orchestra of Bucks County Holding Benefit & Auction

Tickets are on sale for the Youth Orchestra of Bucks County’s auction and show benefit at the New Hope Winery.

The event will take place on Saturday, March 1 from 6:30 p.m. until 10 p.m. and feature the music of Grammy award-winning musician Loudon Wainwright III.

YOBC Director of Development Karl Smith said the event is the group’s biggest fundraiser and helps program keep tuition low. He added the money goes toward sponsoring classes and guest musicians who work with the young YOBC performers.

The YOBC was founded in 1991 and says they create “opportunities for young musicians to achieve artistic excellence through enriching classical music experiences.” The group runs Students in Concert, which helps Bristol Township school kids participate in music programs.
