An 18-year-old man was arrested early Friday after police say he broke into vehicles in Levittown and then burglarized the Walgreen’s store at the corner of Bristol-Oxford Valley and Woodbourne roads in Middletown.
Patrol officers were dispatched to the Walgreen’s and advised by store security that the burglary alarm in the front on the building was activated. Security said they spotted a male suspect steal a cash draw, court papers say.

Police said the suspect, Bryan Windland, of Middletown’s Levittown section, headed toward the D building of the Woodbourne Apartments after he burglarized the Walgreen’s.
Windland was found hiding behind parked cars at the apartment complex, police said. He reportedly resisted arrest and was eventually handcuffed.
Police said they found the Walgreen’s cash draw by the vehicles the 18-year-old was hiding behind.

A backpack was discovered with Windland. According to police, the following items they found are sold at Walgreen’s.
- 20 packs of cigarettes
- 6 packs of lighters
- 4 cartons of cigarettes
- 15 Game cigars, which are commonly used as blunts to smoke marijuana
- 4 Starbucks gift cards.
- Monster Energy drinks

Police said they also found a white iPhone, iPhone charger, eraser, a flashlight and a homemade tool commonly used to smash windows. Several items were later discovered to be stolen from a car in Levittown.
Windland later told police he smoked marijuana with a friend only know as “RJ” and then the two went to Walgreen’s and committed the burglary. He also admitted to stealing from vehicles in Levittown, court papers state.
No other suspects were identified by police in court papers or arrested as of Friday afternoon.

Windland was charged with burglary, resisting arrest, retail theft and several other offenses. He sent to county jail on 10 percent of $50,000 bail.
