Police in nearby Morrisville Borough are investigating a carjacking that happened Monday morning.
According to police, the victim was driving his 2001 blue Jeep Cherokee Sport south on North Delmorr Avenue when they came upon trash and a bicycle in the roadway around 3:30 a.m. As the victim got out of their SUV to move the debris, a man with a gun approached.

“The male then pointed a firearm in the victim’s face, ordered him to back up, and asked for the victim’s cell phone which was in the vehicle,” police said.
The suspect jumped into the Jeep and drove off toward the Trenton Makes Bridge and may have headed into Trenton, police said. The stolen vehicle has a Pennsylvania plate with the registration of GZG5968.
The suspect is described by police as a a black male wearing a black coat, gray hoodie and black baseball cap

Authorities were alerted after the victim got on the bicycle left in the middle of the roadway and rode to police headquarters.
