Matthew Schuler, a 2011 graduate of Pennsbury High School and former Sesame Place employee, won his Knockout Round round last night on NBC’s “The Voice.” Now, he advances to the live broadcast of the singing competition.

Schuler faced off against Will Champlin and sang “Cosmic Love” by Florence and the Machine. Camplin performed Bruno Mars’ “When I Was Your Man” and was stolen by judge Adam Levine at the end of the round.

Christina Aguilera called Schuler’s performance “magical.”

Both Camplin and Schuler were on judge Christina Aguilera’s team.

Schuler will now advance to the next round of the competition. It is not clear when he will next be on the show.

The 20-year-old Lower Makefield resident made show history for the quickest time that all four judges hit their buttons. A hit of the button means they wanted Schuler on their team during his cover of Young the Giant’s 2011 hit single “Cough Syrup.”
