A Friday afternoon fire at a vacant loading dock behind the shopping center that houses the Pathmark and Retro Fitness in the Fairless Hills section of Falls Township has been deemed suspicious, Fire Marshal Rich Dippolito said.
Firefighters were dispatched to the back of a vacant store a few down from the Retro Fitness at 3:25 p.m. Crews arrived to find a padding material attached to a concrete loading dock ablaze, Dippolito said. The fire was quickly put out.

The fire marshal said the shopping center escaped any major damage.
No injures were reported.
Fire trucks from around the Fairless Hills area rushed to the scene shortly after the call.
