Due to temperatures that are hovering near 100 degrees, all buildings in the Bristol Township School District closed at 2 p.m. on Thursday.

A statement released by the district says the district has a “peak-power arrangement with our utility supplier.”

The two YMCA summer camps operating at Ralph W. Emerson Elementary School and Harry S. Truman High School will be closed Friday due to the warm weather. The YMCA summer camp at Neil Armstrong Middle School will be open on Friday.

“All BTSD buildings will be open tomorrow,” the district statement reads.

Hours at the Bristol Township Senior Center and several similar facilities throughout the county have been extended due to the heatwave.
