As David Connor, 31, of Bristol Township, was arrested Saturday for violating a court-issued protection from abuse (PFA) order, he attacked township officers taking him into custody, police said.
The Green Lane resident was caught by police when they spotted him smoking what looked to be a crack cocaine pipe in a shed after they were called to an apartment on Foster Avenue just before 1 a.m. on reports a subject was violating a PFA, according to court documents.

Police said Connor began yelling at the woman who called police after he left the shed.
As officers spoke with Connor, he began yelling he would not go to jail and stated “officers would have to shoot him.”
The 31-year-old, who is listed by Bucks County prison as weighing 210 pounds, fought with an officer who tried to put him in the back a patrol car, police said. The officer suffered a minor injury to his index finger when Connor squeezed his hand the handcuffs he was wearing.

Fighting the officers attempts to load him in the car, police said they next loaded the kicking, flailing and scratching Connor into a police van. Court documents report Connor also used his feet to kick a police officer exiting the van and to stop the rear door from closing.
A stun gun was used to control Connor and stop him from injuring officers, police said. Connor’s feet were also shackled.

An officer received bruises when he was kicked more than half-a-dozen times, police said. Another officer was reportedly kicked in the chest and face.
Connor was arraigned Saturday on two counts of felony aggravated assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, possession of a controlled substance, and lesser offenses.
He was sent to county jail on 10 percent of $100,000 bail. On Tuesday, Connor’s bail was reduced to 10 percent of $25,000, according to online court dockets.
